Samantha Markle Questions Her Mother’s Police Letter Against Thomas Markle

Meghan Markle’s half-sister stated today that if her mother was indeed the one who wrote to the Metropolitan Police accusing her father of child sexual abuse, it was motivated solely by hatred and bitterness.
Samantha Markle, 61, claims that her mother, Roslyn Loveless who passed away two years ago was an alcoholic and that her word cannot be trusted.
This revelation emerges amidst reports that Roslyn, who was married to Thomas Markle Sr. from 1964 to 1975, was the individual who sent these allegations to the police in 2019. Mr. Markle has categorically denied any such wrongdoing.
“If my mother wrote that letter, it shouldn’t be taken seriously,” Samantha said. “She harbored deep resentment because Dad left her and went on to make a big name for himself in Hollywood. There was a great deal of hatred and bitterness there.”
“Not once did she ever suggest to me that she believed Dad was a pedophile.”
Mr. Markle who is estranged from Meghan’s mother was reported to the police last week by his and Roslyn’s son, Thomas Jr., regarding alleged inappropriate material discovered on computers.
Samantha added, “For most of her life, my mother was a chronic alcoholic. She subjected me to both verbal and physical abuse. When my parents were married, we lived in Chicago, where Dad worked at a television station.” “After my parents’ divorce, I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, with my mother, while Dad went to Los Angeles in search of work. My mother harbored a lot of bitterness toward Dad. He found success at ABC Television, and she resented that.
“One day, in a fit of rage, she grabbed my hair and pulled my head back. She thrust her face close to mine and said she wanted to shove my teeth down my throat. Crying, I called Dad, and he arranged for me to come and live with him in L.A. I was 11 nearing 12 and I was desperate to leave my mother’s home because she was truly terrifying.
“I went to live with Dad in Santa Monica, and a year later, he met Doria Meghan’s mother who then came to live with us.”
She added, “During the last month of her life, we spoke on the phone every day; she had softened considerably, and we had heart-to-heart conversations.
“The worst thing she ever said about Dad was that when I was born, she wanted to buy a stroller, but Dad wanted to get a pool table instead. I feel that if she had truly harbored such thoughts or held such accusations she would have certainly told me.”
Last night, Mr. Markle told The Mail on Sunday that he doubted Roslyn had actually sent the letter, suggesting that the story might be “a ruse.”
He remarked, “I’m shocked by this. I don’t believe it. Roslyn and I broke up years ago, but I treated her well during the divorce.” “I find it hard to believe that she would write such a letter. She was a severe alcoholic. It is very sad, but she would never have written such a letter without someone else prompting her. She suffered from a serious alcohol addiction for years.
“I suspect this is a trap. I want to see the letter that Roslyn wrote. Roslyn and I were on good terms. She has passed away, so she cannot defend herself. Why is all this coming out now? Why is my son trying to destroy me? Why is Meghan dragging my name through the mud?”
He stated that Roslyn had contributed to an “extremely negative” story about him, but he does not believe she would have accused him of being a pedophile.
“My first wife and I maintained a good relationship for many years because we had children together. I don’t believe she would say bad things about me. She is no longer here to defend herself. I suspect this may have been orchestrated to defame me after my death.” “I am alive, and I call this nonsense.”
The 82-year-old admitted to this newspaper last night that he had paid for sex in the Philippines, but denied sleeping with underage girls.
He vowed to do “whatever it takes” to clear his name following these “heinous” allegations.
Authorities in the Philippines are investigating the former Hollywood lighting technician for the possession of indecent images of children.
The Metropolitan Police are also facing questions as to why they suppressed the letter containing these allegations for more than seven years.
Meghan initially stated that she became aware of the allegations in 2018, when detectives from the Met handed her the letter; however, the force later clarified that she was actually informed a year later.
The Duchess stated that she was “assured” at the time that the claims were being investigated.
She added that the allegations against her father were “more heinous than one could imagine,” and remarked, “My sympathies go out to any child who may have been harmed.”
Mr. Markle has vehemently denied the claims ever since The Sun revealed that he was under investigation in the Philippines.
The images involving children allegedly in Mr. Markle’s possession were handed over to the police last week by his son, Tom Jr.
His son claimed that he discovered the material on computers that his father had left behind in the Philippines when he returned to the United States earlier this year.
Tom Jr. told The Sun, “I was horrified when I found this material, and I had no choice but to report my own father. For years, I…””…stood by him, looked after him, and helped him but enough is enough. I will never speak to my father again, unless I am called to testify against him.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail on Friday, Mr. Markle dismissed the allegations against him as “vile lies,” adding that he was “very upset that my son is making these accusations against me.”
Mr. Markle and Roslyn had two children Samantha, 61, and Thomas Jr., 60 before he had a daughter with Doria Ragland in 1981; that daughter is now the Duchess.
His marriage to Meghan’s mother lasted from 1964 to 1987, and the couple separated when their daughter was about two years old.
A few days after the birth of Prince Archie in May 2019, Roslyn described her ex-husband as a “terrible father” who should never be allowed to meet his grandson.
She remarked that Meghan “would be a fool to keep him in her life,” adding, “Time and again, he has shown Meghan that he cannot be trusted. She should realize this by now. I am not speaking out of bitterness I moved on with my life many years ago but rather out of concern.”
“Archie deserves to grow up in a happy home, not in the vengeful environment that has been created. Tom was a terrible father. What makes him think he would be a good grandfather to Archie?”
At the time Mr Markle dismissed his ex-wife’s comments as ‘not valid’.
